Dr. Charles Morrow is the Chief Medical Officer and Senior Vice President of Medical Affairs for Spartanburg Regional HealthCare System in Spartanburg, South Carolina, with responsibilities that include medical staff affairs, graduate medical education, trauma and trauma-related programs, clinical research, precision medicine, risk assessment, and just culture. He previously served as the program director of the surgery residency program and as the trauma medical director at Spartanburg Medical Center, a Level 1 Trauma Center. He is board certified in general surgery and surgical critical care and remains clinically active in trauma surgery and surgical critical care.
Dr. Morrow attended The Citadel, The Military College of South Carolina, received his medical degree from the University of South Carolina School of Medicine, completed surgical residency at Spartanburg Medical Center, and completed a fellowship in surgical critical care at Orlando Regional Medical Center in Orlando, Florida. He completed the Advanced Management Program at Harvard Business School and is a Fellow of the Riley Institute for Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion.
Dr. Morrow has extensive leadership experience, both administratively and in service on various boards representing education, health care, and arts organizations. He has also served and held memberships in medical societies in his fields of surgery and surgical critical care.
