The ACGME takes its responsibility as a keeper of data very seriously. It is committed to ensuring all data it receives remains confidential and protected and that it complies with the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA) and any other relevant federal and state laws. To that end, the ACGME has implemented policies, processes, and procedures designed to ensure compliance with HIPAA requirements, but more importantly to ensure any and all data it receives is protected and secure.
