The deadline to submit applications for the 2024 Barbara Ross-Lee, DO Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion Award has been extended to March 31, 2023.
The ACGME understands there are a variety of diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI) strategies, and seeks to recognize both early-stage projects and mature initiatives. Examples of past winners’ projects include recruitment strategies, pathway initiatives, faculty development, scholarship programs, and the promotion of inclusive environments.

Join program directors from around the country for the live virtual event, “Program Director Well-Being: Finding a Path Forward,” on April 11, 2023 from 4:00-5:00 p.m. Central. The event includes a panel discussion and listening session about the current state of and solutions for well-being in the program director role.
SAVE THE DATE! 2023 National Learning Community of Sponsoring Institutions
The next National Learning Community of Sponsoring Institutions meeting will be held September 19-20, 2023 in Chicago.
Attendees from Sponsoring Institutions across the US will join the ACGME for two days of learning and connecting. This hybrid meeting will engage participants in innovations and advancements furthering the integration of graduate medical education and clinical learning environments, consistent with the Sponsoring Institution 2025 vision. Designated institutional officials, institutional coordinators, and other health care and education leaders will collaborate through shared learning experiences, explore how to generalize successful practices, and develop solutions for common challenges.

Introduction to the CLER National Report of Findings 2022: The COVID-19 Pandemic and Its Impact on the Clinical Learning Environment

The ACGME's Clinical Learning Environment Review (CLER) team developed and implemented a unique protocol identifying any impact of the COVID-19 pandemic that would likely persist for at least two years. The CLER National Report of Findings 2022: The COVID-19 Pandemic and Its Impact on the Clinical Learning Environment presents information gleaned from this special set of site visits to 287 hospitals, medical centers, and other health care environments that serve as clinical learning environments for ACGME-accredited Sponsoring Institutions.

Call for Comments | Shaping GME: The Future of Emergency Medicine
Every 10 years, Review Committees are required to review their specialty Program Requirements to determine necessary revisions. As part of the revision process, the Writing Group for Emergency Medicine requests feedback on the Summary of Themes and Insights that will guide development of the new Program Requirements for Emergency Medicine. The summary document is posted for Review and Comment here.

Public members share the perspective of the public, foster public accountability, enrich the work of the Review Committee through outside expertise, and create transparency. While nominees cannot be physicians, other health care professionals are permitted if they are not employed by an organization with ACGME-accredited residency or fellowship programs.
