Each program’s Annual Update timeframe will appear in ADS under the Program > Important Dates column on the right-hand side by July 1.

Instead, a 2023-2024 Summary of Changes article is available in the Annual Update section of the ADS Help Center. COVID-19 data will not be collected and this section will be removed from ADS.
New drafts of the Milestones listed below are open for feedback from the community. The Milestones reporting data, along with other survey results and comments, informed the changes. The Work Groups also created Supplemental Guides to enhance understanding of the Milestones.

As noted above, the ACGME Program Requirements for Graduate Medical Education in Urology effective July 1, 2023 are now available under Program Requirements, FAQs, and Applications in the Urology section of the ACGME website. Email questions to Executive Director Kathleen Quinn-Leering.
Two updates to the ACGME Case Log System for complex family planning: fellows can now “batch enter” CPT code 59821; fellows can discontinue use of the “Inpatient” checkbox as it will be removed this summer.
The "Case Log Instructions: Complex Family Planning" document has been updated under Documents and Resources in the Obstetrics and Gynecology section of the ACGME website. Program directors and coordinators are advised to review the document, particularly the revised description of a complex induced abortion by dilation and curettage, which was expanded to include inpatients.

A major revision of the Program Requirements for Pediatrics is currently underway. In accordance with ACGME policy, the proposed revisions were posted for Review and Comment in February, and the comment period closed April 5, 2023.
In response to a significant number of comments received, including several concerns about the proposed revisions, the Review Committee for Pediatrics has decided to conduct a more comprehensive and detailed review of the proposed revisions and comments and issue a second public comment period expected for late summer. Due to this extension, the proposed requirements are now anticipated to go into effect July 1, 2025.
Specific timing and details will be shared through the e-Communication.

In 2021, the World Health Organization declared climate change to be “the single biggest health threat facing humanity.” Many social and environmental determinants of health, including clean air, safe drinking water, sufficient food, and secure shelter, have been seriously affected in many parts of the world. Those with climate-sensitive health risks, particularly in low-income and disadvantaged parts of the world, have already felt the direct effects of heat waves, floods, low air quality, and food disruptions, as well as effects on their mental health.
The editors of JGME know future physicians need to be prepared to care for patients who will face these issues. When searching published literature, however, they have found few examples of educational tools related to climate change and GME. To address this gap and enhance access to climate-related resources for GME, the editors have issued a Call for Papers on Climate and GME for a supplement to be published in late 2024. Submissions are due January 15, 2024.
When submitting a manuscript, Editor in Chief Gail Sullivan, MD, MPH and the supplement’s editors have the following advice:
