If you are searching for an opportunity to present your research in graduate medical education (GME), you might want to consider submitting an abstract to the 2024 ACGME Annual Educational Conference Call for Abstracts. Selected abstracts will be exhibited as posters at the conference, for the largest gathering of GME professionals in the world to view!
The conference, which will take place March 7-9, 2024 at the Rosen Shingle Creek Resort in Orlando, Florida, will bring together thousands of attendees focused on GME – a dedicated audience for your work.
The annual Marvin R. Dunn Welcoming Poster Reception and Exhibitor Kick-Off, to be held on the evening of Thursday, March 7, 2024, allows presenters to share their posters, talk about the work, and connect with colleagues across the GME community in a relaxed environment that promotes free exchange of ideas. Such engagements have previously spurred further research and innovation, and interactions among peers have led to numerous collaborative projects.
Poster presenters who showcase research on educational or clinical outcomes have the additional possibility to present their posters orally at a dedicated session on Saturday, March 9, 2024. Each poster will be given 10 minutes for presentation and 5 minutes for questions and answers. You may opt for this opportunity as you submit your abstracts.
GME scholarship is the lifeblood of the Annual Educational Conference, helping to advance the field. At last year’s conference, 74 posters were exhibited by GME professionals from around the world, touching upon subjects as diverse as well-being for first-year residents, elder abuse education, collaboration among program coordinators, addressing racism in the learning environment, bolstering the rural physician workforce, and physician comfort in evaluating patients with disabilities.
A poster selected for presentation creates many opportunities for its authors. Institutions often offer additional support, such as for travel expenses, for researchers selected to present their work at a major conference. In addition, as conference attendees, you can also benefit from the vast breadth of information and research presented by your peers, from educational sessions to other posters, ensuring you remain at the forefront of GME.

We look forward to seeing you – and hopefully your research – in Orlando!
